By private jet from Toronto to Red Lake

As metioned earlier, I managed to a hitch a ride for my final flight back to Red lake.

"Just met a nice chap that says he's heading more or less that way and he has a private jet, he says.
Seems to be working 'top management' for one or another multinational...
His pilot is a bit ill and needs a day or so of rest. The man says I can join his co-pilot (while his pilot flies as a passenger) and fly that plane over to CYRL.
He'll probably take a day off at Red Lake, visit the place, watch some planes and bush types. After that the pilot should be ready to take command again and continue their journey to Vancouver."

"Yep, I made it to Red Lake on the 6th. Only I was a bit surprised... I mean by the plane we had...
Private jet, my @$$!!! that's a full sized airliner!
Are you sure we can get into CYRL with 'that', I asked the co-pilot.
No problem, that's exactly what we did.
OK, so after that I showed mr. M a few bushplanes and we (that's mr. M -the 'M' for money-, co-pilot and some of his staff) went for a short flight..." (PIREP to follow soon)

Like I was flying as a guest and the expenses for this flight were all taken care of by the owner, I'm not logging this flight in the system.

Wednesday the 6th after being introduced to the crew and passengers, being briefed by the co-pilot and checking the aircraft, we were cleared for take off from Toronto Int. Lester B. Pearson.
At about 14.28 we taxied towards the active runway, CYYZ 06L and proceeded to take off. Weather was fine: Broken cloud cover at 4200, visibility 8.5 nm; winds of 4 to 16 kts at 20º and a temperature of 25º C qnh 1011.
We climbed to our cruising altitude of 20.000 ft and flew a more or less direct heading to Sioux Lookout, doing an average of M 0.74.
From Sioux Lookout we began our descent to Red lake, through the clouds and passing over Ear Falls and close by Prospect Lake, before turning for a landing on CYRL 08.

Now, by looking at the pictures above, you may ask yourself 'how did mr. Brick manage to find his way through those clouds, down to CYRL?' Of course, you already know I'm useless at IFR...
The answer is very simple: 'Keep Sun on your right'
The co-pilot, miss Weatherby to you, Sun or Sunny for friends :-) did help me out; she did the navigation, kept passing me our position and showing it on the map and suggested the course to follow (Ear Falls, Prospect, keep on 260, turn to 350... 1, 2, 3 turn for 080 and align for CYRL).
Isn't she great.
