Operation "Snow cap"

Mission 02

Sir Ole Sawback's PIREP

Hi, Guys, and Bloss-man:

Well, I'm behind the 8-ball, I know. But I've just arrived at Zurich. I
busted all speeds to get there from Helgoland in the Citation. But I done
it!

Also, I'm guessing the controller was backwards, too, 'cause once I arrived
at Zurich, she wanted me to land on 14 when I was NW of the airport. But
she directed me to a heading of 28 to intercept the localizer. Wow!

Luckily the ILS knew where it was, and I turn a 180 and got back on
course...unless she was expecting me to land tail first. That would have
been a first.

I'll get glacier landing certified this week and get on with the hunt for
the AN-225.

(We had one service rep retire on us, so I'm having to cover his accounts
until his replacement is trained and in place. That looks like to be
sometime around February. So it looks like I'll be on some overnights away
from home for awhile.)
