Briefing

Having previously worked for a small charter company in Inverness, I moved up there to be closer to work. Now I am in the employment of dESPair, I can relocate closer to my home in South Yorkshire. The closest place I could find available hangar space near by was Gamston Airstrip, the home of Diamond Aircraft no less who make those fine Diamond Katanas and Twin Stars.

However, I have grown attached to some of my possessions in Inverness and there are some logistical problems in moving them all at once. Fortunately, help has arisen from the fine nomads who have offered to move some of my stuff for me. And I can think of no better people for the job. Not to mention that I do not trust your average Joe removal company to deliver some of my belongings intact.

Signing up

This is a small operation in the grand scheme of things so there are limited jobs to go around. It is safe to say that the car is a one plane job, and the possibility of fitting the Harley in there too if the plane is large enough. Though remember that Gamston Airstrip has a modest runway and taxi facilities.

I will update the list at the top with the filled positions on a first come first serve basis to keep things quick and simple, though smaller cargo can be split between multiple pilots if there is wider interest.

Youth Academy

This mission is open to any members of the Youth Academy that wish to participate, and should sign up as above. If you do not have your own plane, you may be able to rent one from a local operator for the date. (Remember you will have to fly it back though so pick a comfortable one.)

Plan of Action

Pilots wishing to take part should make their way to Inverness, or close by, ready for the move. Once the load has been collected, and loaded, proceed to Gamston Airstrip (EGNE) under your own flight planning. Feel free to log your flights as well for record keeping using any description for the flight you wish.
